Great work behind friction loses its impact. Make it open with one click.
"I sent my best work, but the client had to download three files and figure out what was what."
Friction that dims good work
The short answer: deliver so the client can click once and see your work immediately, with no hunting. When I delivered my trial, I did not just attach files and hope. I made it so the client could click and it would open right away. A busy client should never have to work to see your work.
| Do this | Instead of |
|---|---|
| A single share link that opens in the browser | Several files the client must download and open separately |
| A clear name and a one-line summary | A file named "final-v3-new" with no context |
| Everything in one organized place | Pieces scattered across messages and emails |
| A preview image or first line that impresses on sight | A blank-looking attachment that reveals nothing until opened |
The first impression of your work is how easy it is to reach. A client decides how they feel in the first few seconds. One click to something clear and impressive starts that feeling right. Friction starts it wrong, no matter how good the work underneath is.
Hold steady, BFF Team. We keep going together.
