Why Use the Client's Logo Colors

The fastest way to look on-brand and professional, with no design skills required.

"What colors should I even use for this client's content?"

The answer is already in their logo

The short answer: use the colors from the client's logo. That is exactly what I did. I checked their website, found their logo, used its colors, and did not go crazy with other colors. It instantly made my content look like it belonged to their brand. You do not have to invent a palette or have a designer's eye. The brand already chose its colors. You just borrow them.

Why this one move works so well

Their colors are already familiar and trusted by their audience. When your content uses the same colors, it feels like part of the brand, not an outsider's guess. It signals that you understand them and that everything fits together. One simple choice, the logo palette, does more for a professional look than any fancy effect.

Practice. Borrow the palette.

  • Found the client's logo on their site
  • Pulled two or three colors from it
  • Used only those colors in a piece of content
  • Resisted adding extra, off-brand colors
