How Did I Become a Claude Certified Architect?

I am officially an AI Claude Certified Architect.

What is my certification about?

It is Anthropic’s official professional certification that validates an individual’s ability to design, build, and deploy production-grade AI systems using Claude models and tools.

Let me share my story why did I take this exam and how my knowledge in AI can help you too.

Why did I take it?

Because I believe AI is such a beautiful and powerful thing that if used rightly can really change lives and help many people.

I want to be one of the people who are considered experts on it. I want to be the real deal. I want to become someone who walks the talk. I want to become someone who can show the power and beauty of AI.

Why?

Because I’ve experienced it. Because I’ve experienced how life-changing it can be if you have this tool in your toolkit.

My experience is so real and so true that I want more of it. I want more people to experience it. I want more people to get helped by it. I want more people to have a better life because of it.

How did I get the exam?

Anthropic Certification is exclusive to Partner Networks only.

I am part of a company called Autonomee. This is being led by Goda Go. She is one of the Claude Ambassadors in Berlin, Germany and working as a Senior AI Solution Engineer. She herself is a Claude Certified Architect.

She runs a very sophisticated program in Skool Community for ordinary folks like me to become more adept in using AI tools such as Claude Code.

Inside the community there is one specific route I took which is to become an AI Architect and it happened.

How can you get this certification too?

They offer an 8-Week Acceleration program where you will be guided how to start from scratch. Here’s what it looks like.

2	Create your first AI tool that can do a little bit more complex task in one command
3	Your AI tool will have its own memory so it remembers you

How do I study inside Claude Academy?

1. I went through the courses fast, on purpose

Instead of watching every video, I read through the notes. I did not digest every line on the first pass. I skimmed the notes, then went straight to the quizzes.

2. I answered the quizzes from what I actually know

No looking things up mid-quiz. I answered from stock knowledge, or from my best reasoning about what the right answer should be. The point is not to score high. It’s to find out what I actually know and what I don’t. If I get one wrong, that is useful. It tells me plainly, “you don’t know this yet.” No shame in that. That is the whole reason I’m studying this way.

3. I also built a Claude Code skill that acted as my personal trainer

I built a custom Claude Code skill (think of it as a reusable assistant I set up once) and loaded it with the real exam material:

• the official exam guide
• the GitHub repos people have put together about this certification
• sample scenarios the exam is built around

Because it only knows the verified material, it did not teach me from guesswork.

4. I deliberately deferred the hands-on coding that time

The programming activities and exercises, I left for later since I’m slow with the technical, build-it-yourself parts, because I know it will slow the whole thing to a crawl.

So I finished the courses, the quizzes, and the final exam first, then came back and did the technical work properly when I can give it real time.

5. Then I studied by hardening my own real system, not example exercises

I used the system I already run every day as my lab.

For each concept the courses cover, I’ll find where it already lives in my system, figure out whether it’s working, broken, or missing, then understand it and fix it.

I used Claude to point me to the exact lesson to review for whatever I’m working on.

Why I think this fits this cert

Back in 2020, during the pandemic, I got Facebook Blueprint certification as Creative Strategist. During my self-study, I focused on the practice questions and the list of scenario-based questions they gave. I passed the certification after 1 take.

Every year I have to renew it. The renewal exam is easy as long as I focus on the scenario-based questions.

The pattern is, all the choices all look right, and one underlying concept, a subtle term, or a small distinction is what makes one wrong (unlike the quizzes, where the correct answer is too obvious).
