No newsletter, no social presence, nothing to undo. That is a clean slate, not a problem.
"My client has no newsletter and almost no followers. This feels hopeless."
A feeling worth flipping
The short answer: starting from zero is exciting because there is nothing broken to fix and no bad habits to undo. When I diagnosed my client, they had no newsletter yet and almost no social stats. We were starting from scratch. Yes, it was challenging. But it was also exciting, because I could build everything from the ground up the right way. A blank slate is freedom.
A client with a messy, half-built presence often takes more work than one with nothing, because you have to clean up before you can create. Zero means you skip the cleanup. Every choice you make is the first one, made right. If you like strategizing, as I do, this is the fun part, not the scary part.
Empty is opportunity, not absence. A blank slate lets you build a clean foundation, show clear before-and-after growth, and own the whole result. The freelancer who sees zero as a gift does better work than the one who sees it as a burden.
Hold steady, BFF Team. We keep going together.
