How an Ordinary Girl from Taguig
How did an ordinary girl from a humble place in Taguig build a platform with thousands of followers in a noisy world? There is no secret recipe. There is only genuine content and kindness. And the One who gave the seeds.
I still remember the question: how did an ordinary girl from a humble corner of Taguig end up with thousands of people listening?
I am not glamorous. I do not have a fancy office. I did not come from a famous family. And the online world of “work from home” and “freelancing” is loud. There are pages with massive followings, polished funnels, and budgets I will never match.
For a long time the quiet voice inside me asked, who are you to even speak here?
I think a lot of Filipino freelancers feel that same hesitation. You scroll, you compare, you wonder if you have anything worth saying. I understand. I have been there many nights, sitting in front of my laptop, second guessing whether to post.
But here is what I have learned by doing this for years.
Information is free. Anyone can Google a tutorial in seconds. What people are actually hungry for is someone real. Someone who shares life as it actually is, who answers messages with care, who remembers that there is a tired human on the other side of the screen.
That is it. Genuine content and kindness. No clever formula. No secret recipe.
And I have to be honest about where this came from. I did not grow this on my own cleverness. The seeds were given. The words, the story, the small audience, the strength to keep showing up on sick days and slow days. All of it is on loan from God. My job is to steward it truthfully, not to perform.
So if you are starting out and you feel ordinary, please hear me. You do not need to be the loudest. You do not need to fake authority you have not lived. Share what is true. Be kind in your replies. Care about the person, not the metric.
That is enough. That is actually the whole thing.
For the glory of God.
